Stainless steel T-shaped railing foot 60° - Angled deck mounting with branch
The 60° stainless steel (AISI 316) T-shaped railing base combines deck mounting with a lateral branch in a single component. Its 60° angle makes it ideal for angled railings – the perfect solution for complex railing constructions at the bow and stern.

Application areas
- Slanted railings at the bow and stern
- Stern and bow pulpits (pushpit/pulpit) with branches
- Complex railing constructions
- Handrails with lateral bracing
- Bimini supports with cross braces
- All applications with 60° angle and T-connection
Function and benefits
The T-piece combines two functions in one component:
-
Deck mounting - Secure hold on the deck like a normal railing foot
-
Side branch - Additional connection for cross braces or reinforcements
-
60° angle - Ideal for sloping profiles, such as those frequently found at the bow and stern
-
Space-saving - One component instead of two separate fittings
Right-hand version
The right-hand version means that the side branch is located to the right of the main pipe (when viewed from the deck).
Tip: Plan your railing construction carefully and determine the required orientation before ordering. For symmetrical constructions, you will often need mirror-image versions for both sides.
Material advantage of stainless steel 1.4401 (AISI 316)
Stainless steel 1.4401 (also known as AISI 316 or V4A) offers optimal properties for maritime use:
-
Molybdenum-containing - Highest corrosion resistance
-
Saltwater resistant - Suitable for continuous use in aggressive environments
-
UV-resistant - No embrittlement from sunlight
-
Highly durable - even under heavy mechanical stress
-
Maintenance-free - No care or after-treatment required
60° angle - Why?
The 60° angle is ideal for:
-
Bow baskets - Natural course of the railing at the bow
-
Stern baskets - adaptation to the hull shape
-
Ergonomic handrails - Comfortable grip position
-
Slanted supports - Optimal force transmission in bimini constructions
Assembly instructions
- Reinforce the deck at the mounting point (e.g. with a plywood sheet under the deck)
- Drill through holes for fastening screws
- Apply sealant to base
- Secure with stainless steel screws and washers
- Secure nuts below deck with locknuts
- Insert and secure the pipes into the sockets.
Size selection
22mm tube diameter (EK87048): For lighter constructions and smaller railing tubes.
25mm tube diameter (EK87050): Standard for most railing tubes and stable constructions.
Important: Measure the outer diameter of your pipes to choose the correct size.
Typical applications
-
Bow basket construction - Slanted supports with lateral bracing
-
Rear basket reinforcement - Additional cross braces for increased stability
-
Handrail systems - Complex layouts with branches
-
Bimini supports - Angled mounting with cross braces
-
Davit constructions - Stable base with lateral bracing
Note: When planning, ensure that the side branch points in the correct direction. If you are unsure, you can make a sketch of your planned construction.
