The double pole switch is particularly important when you require complete galvanic isolation. This is recommended, for example, when connected to shore power or during extended periods moored in marinas. Install the battery switch in an easily accessible location. Always switch the main switch to "Off" when the boat is not in use for an extended period. Ensure that both positive and negative leads are connected correctly. Use appropriately sized cable lugs for 10mm bolts. Clearly label the connections (positive/negative). Combine with BEP PRO INSTALLER busbars and fuse holders.
When installing, ensure correct polarity and use adequately sized cables (rated for at least 400A). The switch should be installed as close to the battery as possible. Tighten all connections securely to avoid contact resistance. Never switch off the main switch while the engine is running – this can damage the alternator and other electrical components. Ensure all electrical consumers are switched off before operating the main switch. Double-pole switches require both positive and negative leads to be connected. Regularly check the switch's function and condition. Observe the maximum voltage of 48V.
You will receive a BEP battery switch PRO 770 Double Pole 12/24V 400A 4-pole with STD mounting (BP770-DP) in a self-service pack - ready for installation in your vehicle electrical system.
The BEP PRO 770 Double Pole battery switch combines the highest quality with maximum safety - for reliable double-pole battery isolation in marine electrical systems.
