The U-Cleat shock absorber features a novel clamping mechanism that allows it to be used even without free rope ends. This offers significant advantages over traditional shock absorbers: The U-Cleat can be repositioned on the line at any time, moved to a different line entirely, or even attached to lines with splices or thimbles on both ends. If you need to wash the mooring line, the U-Cleat can be easily removed and later reattached.
The innovative U-Cleat clamp is specially designed to achieve optimal clamping action and prevent the shock absorber from slipping on the line. The line's strength and durability are not affected. The U-Cleat shock absorber is manufactured in Sweden from high-quality EPDM rubber reinforced with glass fiber-reinforced polyamides. The clamps are made of glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene for maximum strength and durability.
