This set is designed for ropes with a diameter of 2-10 mm . For thicker ropes, you will need additional or larger tools. The ceramic knife is extremely sharp but also brittle – do not drop it and use it only for cutting rope. Splicing takes practice – don't expect your first attempts to be perfect. With a little patience and the right tools (which you have here!), you will quickly make progress. Always store sharp tools with blade guards. After contact with salt water, the metal tools should be rinsed with fresh water and dried. The case protects against splashes but is not waterproof.
