Traditional trim lines attached directly to the sail often stick to the sailcloth when wet, making them difficult to read. SEASURE FLO trim lines solve this problem with their innovative design featuring a raised base.

How it works

Raised base: The base lifts the trim threads away from the sailcloth, so that they remain freely movable even when wet and do not stick to the cloth.

3M VHB™ Tape: The high-quality VHB™ (Very High Bond) tape from 3M ensures extremely strong and durable adhesion to the sailcloth - even in wind, weather and UV radiation.

Optimal visibility: The threads always remain clearly visible and allow for precise reading of the sail trim.

Color selection

Black: Classic and inconspicuous, highly visible on light-colored sails.

White: Ideal for dark or colored sails, high contrast and easy to read.

💡 Tip

Thoroughly clean the area on the sail with alcohol or acetone before applying the bases – this ensures optimal adhesion of the 3M VHB™ Tape. After applying the bases, press them firmly into place and allow the tape to cure for at least 24 hours before hoisting the sail. The optimal application temperature is 15-25°C. Position the trim lines at the usual points (typically at 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 of the headsail beam). The red/green combination is particularly useful for distinguishing different trim zones. Black lines are most visible on white sails, and white lines on dark sails. Once applied, the bases can be carefully removed later – any adhesive residue can be cleaned with alcohol.

⚠️ Important

The bases must be applied to clean, dry sailcloth . Moisture, dirt, or salt will impair adhesion. 3M VHB™ Tape requires 24-72 hours to reach its full bonding strength – do not hoist the sail during this time. Adhesion may be limited on very old or porous sailcloth. Regularly check the bases for a secure fit, especially after intensive sailing trips. Temperatures below 10°C may reduce the tape's adhesive strength. The trim lines are designed for headsails; special solutions are available for mainsails. Each set contains 6 trim lines with bases.
