Install the main switch in an easily accessible location so it can be reached quickly in an emergency. Always switch the main switch to "Off" when the boat is not in use for extended periods. Use cables rated for a continuous load of 500A. Ensure adequate ventilation when operating at high currents. Combine with busbars and fuse holders for a professional overall system.
When installing, ensure correct polarity and use adequately sized cables (rated for at least 500A – very large cross-sections are required). The switch should be installed as close to the battery as possible. Tighten the connections securely to avoid contact resistance. Never switch off the main switch while the engine is running – this can damage the alternator. Heat may be generated at high currents – ensure adequate ventilation. Regularly check the function and condition of the switch.
You will receive a 500A main switch with a diameter of 58mm - ready for installation in your high-performance electrical system.
The 500A main switch combines maximum load capacity with a compact design - for reliable battery isolation even under the most extreme conditions in marine electrical systems.
