Technical specifications: Diameter 88 mm, max. speed 4500 rpm, adapter for drill included, rubber compound specially designed for film removal, for gelcoat, paint, metal, plastic.
Areas of application:
Operating principle: The special rubber compound of the film eraser heats up through rotation and friction. This heat loosens the adhesive of the film or sticker, allowing both to be removed together. Unlike mechanical scraping or scratching, the film eraser works gently without damaging the surface. It is also superior to chemical removers, which often contain aggressive solvents.
Application: Clamp the adapter into the drill chuck and tighten. Attach the film eraser to the adapter. Set the drill to medium speed (2000-4500 rpm). Place the eraser disc flat against the film to be removed. Apply light pressure and move it over the film in circular or straight motions. The film will loosen and curl up. Adhesive residue is removed simultaneously. Repeat if necessary.
Tips for best results: Do not apply too much pressure – the rotation and heat will do the work. For very old, hardened films, gently warming them with a hot air gun can make removal easier. After removal, clean the surface with silicone remover. For sensitive surfaces, test on an inconspicuous area first.
Safety instructions: Wear safety glasses – debris from the film can fly around. Do not operate at excessively high speeds (max. 4500 rpm). Securely mount the eraser disc onto the adapter. Replace immediately if it becomes unbalanced or damaged. Choose a well-ventilated area.
Care and lifespan: Clean the eraser disc of any film residue after use. If heavily soiled, rinse with water and allow to dry. Store in a dry place. Lifespan depends on usage – several square meters of film can be removed with normal use. Replace if heavily worn or hardened.
