ECHOMAX EM12 Radar Reflector – Compact spherical radar reflector for emergencies and everyday use

The ECHOMAX EM12 is a proven round radar reflector with a diameter of 12 inches (approx. 36 cm), designed for everyday use as well as for emergency situations and life rafts. Mounted in the recommended "catch rain" position, the reflector offers a maximum reflecting area of ​​approximately 5.5 m² and an average reflecting area of ​​approximately 1.8 m². The RORC recommends mounting at a height of 4 m above the waterline for optimal radar coverage. At mounting heights of 3 to 10 m, radar visibility is ensured at a range of approximately 4 to 7 nautical miles.

The EM12 is delivered folded and is quick and easy to assemble. With compact dimensions of approximately 39 x 39 x 3 cm and a weight of only 730 g, the reflector can be stored in a space-saving manner. The reflector complies with ISAF Regulations 2015 and is listed on the USCG list of approved radar reflectors. It is available as a basic version (AM012) without a base or with an optional PVC base for antenna mounts (AM012RM) for flexible installation on deck or antenna bases.
