The XL version is particularly advantageous for thicker ropes and longer splices. We recommend the XL version for ropes 10 mm in diameter and above, as the extra length provides more leverage and better control when pulling the rope through the braid. For ropes between 6 and 14 mm, you can choose between the standard and XL versions, depending on the length of the splice.
