VULCAN anchor – further development of the ROCNA anchor with a compact design

The VULCAN anchor is a further development of the ROCNA anchor. It has the same excellent anchoring characteristics (high holding power, as well as fast and reliable digging), but is more compact and has a more convenient design for anchor brackets on bowsprits and swim platforms. The VULCAN features a special combination of shank, fluke shape, and an innovative roll-palm edge (A). The roll-off edge, in conjunction with the round shank, functions like a roller bar, always bringing the anchor into the correct position.

The V-bulb (B) shifts the anchor's center of gravity extremely low and towards the fluke tip, aiding the digging process. The concave shape (C), similar to the ROCNA anchor, increases the fluke surface area, contributing to its exceptional holding power. The unique shank profile (D), along with the absence of a roller (as it is unnecessary due to the design), ensures a particularly good fit in anchor brackets on bowsprits and swim platforms. The shank is made of high-strength steel. The special I + V profile (E) further reinforces the VULCAN anchor's shank.

The anchor shank is not only elegant, but its V-profile (F) in the fluke area also accelerates the digging process. The V-profile acts like a plow, cutting into the seabed with its sharp edge. It features attachment points for safety and retrieval lines, as well as for a tandem anchor. The VULCAN anchor is available in sizes from 4 kg to 55 kg (larger sizes available upon request). Its compact design allows for space-saving storage in anchor lockers. Ideal for sailing yachts, motorboats, and multihulls.

Please also consider the area where you will be anchoring. For multihulls, always choose the next larger anchor weight.
