UFLEX gas springs - Precise damping for maritime applications

UFLEX gas springs are the ideal solution for controlled opening and closing operations on board. Based on hydropneumatic damping, these high-quality gas springs consist of a pressure tube, a piston rod with piston, and robust A4 stainless steel connections. Filled with compressed gas, the quantity of which determines the preset internal pressure, the pressure acts on the different piston cross-sectional areas, generating a precise force in the extension direction.

Available in 14 different versions with spring forces from 10 kg to 50 kg, lengths from 275 mm to 700 mm, and strokes from 100 mm to 300 mm, UFLEX gas springs adapt flexibly to a wide variety of requirements. Whether for hatches, flaps, seats, or other moving parts – these gas springs offer a reliable and low-maintenance solution for marine applications.

Important instructions for assembly and use:

  • Optimal damping is achieved when mounted at a 30° angle from the vertical axis, with the piston rod pointing towards the axis.
  • Protect the piston rod against physical and chemical damage.
  • Transverse loads must be avoided at all costs.
  • Securely fasten stainless steel holders
  • Carefully install the damper according to the installation instructions.
  • Tensile forces not exceeding the specified spring force
  • Temperature range: -30°C to +80°C
