An integrated circuit specifically designed for solar applications enables entirely new controller functions. A self-learning algorithm provides a relatively accurate indication of the battery's state of charge. A novel hybrid actuator offers significantly better efficiency than previous shunt and series controllers for optimal battery charging. Automatic 12/24V detection.
