Polishing cone/polishing mandrel – for hard-to-reach areas with a drill and cordless screwdriver

Versatile polishing cone made of medium-density foam in orange for hard-to-reach areas and detailed work. This conical polishing mandrel with a 6 mm shank is universally compatible with most standard drills and cordless screwdrivers. Its conical geometry allows polishing in corners, edges, recesses, and tight spaces where conventional polishing pads cannot reach.

Measuring 80 x 82 mm, the cone offers ample working surface while maintaining a compact form. Its medium hardness makes it versatile for most polishing tasks. The orange color makes dirt and grime easily visible. The 6 mm shank fits standard drill chucks and allows for quick bit changes. Ideal for gelcoat, paint, stainless steel, and all high-gloss surfaces.

DN1320 medium orange 80 x 82 mm

Technical specifications: Size 80 x 82 mm, shaft diameter 6 mm, material foam medium, color orange, conical, for drills and cordless screwdrivers.

Areas of application:

  • Polish hard-to-reach areas
  • Sharp corners and edges – cockpit, superstructure
  • Recesses and cutouts
  • Areas next to fittings and winches
  • Gelcoat polishing in tight areas
  • Paint polishing – detail work
  • Stainless steel and metals in corners
  • All high-gloss surfaces

Advantages of the conical shape: The conical shape allows access to corners, edges, and recesses where round polishing pads cannot reach. The tip reaches tight areas, while the wider base can be used for larger surfaces. The medium hardness offers an optimal balance between cutting power and surface protection.

Application: Clamp the polishing cone into the chuck of a drill or cordless screwdriver and tighten. Apply polish to the area to be polished or to the cone. Polish at low to medium speed (500-1500 rpm). Apply light to medium pressure. Work in circular or straight motions. Reapply polish regularly. Replace the cone when worn.

Safety instructions: Do not operate at excessively high speeds – the cone could deform or break off. Wear safety glasses. Securely clamp the cone in the drill chuck. Replace immediately if it becomes unbalanced or damaged. Do not use on sharp edges or pointed objects.

Care: Remove polish residue from the cone after use. For heavy soiling, wash with water and mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry. Store in a dry place. Replace if hardened, cracked, or heavily worn.

The polishing cone is an indispensable tool for all polishing work in hard-to-reach areas. Its conical shape allows access to corners, edges, and recesses where conventional polishing pads fail. Measuring 80 x 82 mm with a 6 mm shank, it is universally compatible with drills and cordless screwdrivers. The medium hardness, in orange, makes it versatile for most polishing tasks. Ideal for gelcoat, paint, stainless steel, and all high-gloss surfaces in confined spaces.
