Material advantage of stainless steel AISI 316 (A4)

AISI 316 stainless steel (also known as A4 or V4A) contains molybdenum and therefore offers significantly higher corrosion resistance than standard stainless steel. This makes the hinged pipe joint particularly suitable for:

  • Continuous saltwater contact
  • Aggressive marine environments
  • Long-term outdoor applications without maintenance
  • Professional boat and yacht equipment
  • Areas with frequent movement and stress

Foldable - Quick assembly and disassembly

To open: Unlike standard joints, this hinged joint can be opened without disassembling the entire connection.

Quick disassembly: Ideal for applications where the convertible top needs to be frequently assembled and disassembled, such as seasonal convertible tops or temporary structures.

Time saving: The folding mechanism allows for quick separation of the pipe connection without tools and without having to remove the bolt.

With fork - Flexible connection

Joint connection: The pipe joint piece has a fork that allows a flexible, movable connection via a bolt.

Mobility: Ideal for applications where pipes need to be flexibly connected to each other, such as in folding roofs or adjustable constructions.

Technical details

Threads: Imperial or metric - Different versions for different requirements.

Fork width: 7.0 mm or 7.5 mm - depending on the version.

Bolt diameter: 6 mm or 8 mm - depending on the pipe diameter.

Hinged design: Can be opened without complete disassembly.

Assembly and use

The hinged pipe joint is slid onto the pipe end and secured with the setscrew. The fork allows for a movable connection to other pipes or fittings via a bolt. To open, the joint is simply folded out.

  • Slide the joint piece onto the end of the pipe.
  • Align - Place in the desired position
  • Secure - Tighten securely with a setscrew.
  • Connect - guide bolts through the fork
  • Open - Simply unfold when needed
