Application areas

  • Reinforced pipe connections for convertible top frames
  • Sprayhood joints with higher loads
  • Bimini top pipe joints for professional applications
  • Convertible top connections
  • Sunshade frame with sturdy connections
  • All applications with reinforced pipe joints

Material advantage of stainless steel AISI 316 (A4)

AISI 316 stainless steel (also known as A4 or V4A) contains molybdenum and therefore offers significantly higher corrosion resistance than standard stainless steel. This makes the reinforced pipe joint particularly suitable for:

  • Continuous saltwater contact
  • Aggressive marine environments
  • Long-term outdoor applications without maintenance
  • Professional boat and yacht equipment
  • Areas subject to mechanical stress

Reinforced version - Long M6 thread

Long metric thread: Unlike standard joints, this reinforced version features a longer M6 thread. This ensures better fixation to the pipe and higher load-bearing capacity.

Robust construction: The reinforced design makes this joint ideal for applications with higher loads from wind, sea conditions or mechanical stress.

Professional quality: Ideal for large convertible tops, heavy constructions or applications with higher requirements.

With fork - Flexible connection

Joint connection: The pipe joint piece has a fork that allows a flexible, movable connection via a bolt.

Mobility: Ideal for applications where pipes need to be flexibly connected to each other, such as in folding roofs or adjustable constructions.

Grub screw: The joint piece is fixed to the pipe with a grub screw, which ensures a secure and permanent connection.

Technical details

Thread: Long metric M6 thread - For better fixing and higher load capacity.

Fork width: 7.5 mm - For secure mounting.

Bolt diameter: 6.0 mm or 8.0 mm - depending on the pipe diameter.

Grub screw: Secure fixing to the pipe without additional tools.

Assembly and use

The reinforced pipe joint is slid onto the pipe end and tightened with the setscrew. The long M6 thread ensures a more secure hold. The fork allows for a movable connection to other pipes or fittings via a bolt.

  • Slide the joint piece onto the end of the pipe.
  • Align - Place in the desired position
  • Secure - Tighten securely with a setscrew.
  • Connect - guide bolts through the fork

Advantages

  • Highly corrosion-resistant - AISI 316 stainless steel for maximum service life
  • Reinforced design - Long M6 thread for better fixing
  • With fork - Flexible joint connection
  • Secure fixation - the setscrew holds the joint firmly in place.
  • Four pipe diameters - For 20mm, 22mm, 25mm and 30mm pipes
  • Professional quality - proven in maritime use

Ideal for

  • Sailing yachts with sprayhood
  • Motorboats with bimini top
  • Boats with folding canopies
  • Professional boat builders and sailmakers
  • Repair and maintenance of convertible top systems
  • New installation of convertible top frames with higher requirements
