AISI 316 stainless steel (also known as A4 or V4A) contains molybdenum and therefore offers significantly higher corrosion resistance than standard stainless steel. This makes the deck ball joint particularly suitable for:
With base plate: The deck ball joint consists of two parts – the ball joint and the base plate. This allows for quick disassembly without having to remove the base plate from the deck.
Quick disassembly: Ideal for seasonal covers or temporary structures. The ball joint can be easily removed from the base plate while the base plate remains mounted on the deck.
Time saving: When reassembling, only the ball joint needs to be placed back onto the base plate - no screws on the deck need to be loosened.
Flexible movement: The ball joint allows flexible movement in all directions, ideal for convertible top frames that need to adapt to different positions.
Stable mounting: Despite its mobility, the ball joint offers a stable and secure attachment to the deck.
Material: Stainless steel AISI 316 (A4) - Highly corrosion resistant.
Thread: Metric - For both versions.
Length (L): 82.0 mm - total length of the ball joint.
Width (B): 29.0 mm - width of the base plate.
Base plate: Sold separately (EK9799).
The base plate is screwed to the deck. The ball joint is slid onto the end of the tube and tightened with the setscrew. The ball joint is then placed on the base plate and secured.
