Install the battery switch in an easily accessible location so it can be reached quickly in an emergency. Always switch the main switch to "Off" when the boat is not in use for extended periods – this prevents battery discharge due to stray currents and increases safety. Ensure adequate ventilation around the switch. Use appropriately sized cable lugs for 10mm bolts. Clearly label the switch positions (e.g., with stickers). Combine with BEP PRO INSTALLER bus bars and fuse holders for a professional, complete system.
When installing, ensure correct polarity and use adequately sized cables (rated for at least 400A). The switch should be installed as close to the battery as possible. Tighten the connections securely to avoid contact resistance. Never switch off the main switch while the engine is running – this can damage the alternator and other electrical components. Ensure all electrical consumers are switched off before operating the main switch. Regularly check the switch's function and condition. Observe the maximum voltage of 48V.
